Gillian Chung is a Hong Kong pop singer and actress. She resides in the affluent Midlevel district in Hong Kong with her younger sister. Chung is a graduate of the Kowloon True Light Middle School and attended RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. While at RMIT, she also worked as a part-time model. She did not finish her studies in RMIT.

In 2001, Chung was approached by Emperor Entertainment Group to form a singing group, Twins, with Charlene Choi, to whom she is not actually related.

Chung made her film debut in U Man which was released in 2002 and has since proven her acting skills in a number of films like Beyond Our Ken which has earned her critical acclaim, being nominated as 'Best Actress' in the Gam Zhi Ging Awards. Outdoing herself in every martial arts sequence, Chung has established herself as the up and coming action star.

In the film Beyond Our Ken released in 2004, Chung played as Chan Wai Ching, a spurned girlfriend of the eponymous Ken. The film managed a box office taking of HK$ 3,886,355 and it has its World Premiere in Tokyo International Film Festival and Gillian's most recent film, which was in January of 2006, Gillian's '49 Days' exceeded the HK $10 million mark, earning a spot in one of Hong Kong's best box office films for the year 2006.

Cecilia Cheung was born in Hong Kong and educated in Australia. She speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. Her fresh young beauty was discovered after she appeared in a tv soft drink commercial. She was talent-spotted by Chu Wing Lung,who is now her manager. Initially, Cecil's family were reluctant to allow their daughter to enter the entertainment industry, but Chu promised her father that he would take care of Cecil, and ensure that she didn't go astray.

Cecilia made her first film debut in comedian Stephen Chow's 1999 Chinese New Year release King of Comedy. In the film she plays a night club hostess who experiences an unhappy love affair. Cecil herself has said that she is not satisfied with her performance in the film, and hopes that she can do a better job in her next role. She feels that the most memorable shot is one in which she had to cry. It was her most memorable shot because it was hard for her to gather up this kind of emotion. According to Cecil, she had no experience what so ever on which to base her character's attitudes towards men.

After her first movie, Cecil decides to launch her singing career. She releases her first cd called 'Any Weather' in July of 1999. This was the start of a success career as we can see now.

As of this evening, the police have made significant advances towards solving this malicious crime. As from the beginning I will continue to give the police my fullest cooperation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

At this time I am not able to discuss matters related to the case, but I do feel it is my obligation to accept full responsibility and take action to help both the victims and those associated with them to heal their wounds.

In this regard, I plead with everyone to please stop forwarding the images on the internet. Furthermore, to completely rid the images from your computer. This is a small step that each one of us can take to help the innocent rebuild their lives. The priority now is for all of us to pitch in and help those in need.

HK cops say earlier photos in Edison Chen scandal appear real

YET another female celebrity has fallen victim to the nude-picture scandal now raging on Hong Kong newstands.

Raunchy images of Hong Kong singer Joey Yung captured in suggestive poses surfaced online on Thursday, the fourth female celebrity to have racy photos supposedly exposed in the media.

But while the other female celebrities have all been romantically linked with Hong Kong actor Edison Chen, Joey has not been known to have been involved with him.

Are the latest pictures genuine?

That is the question police investigators are trying to determine.

The chain of scandal began on Sunday when a compromising photo of Twins star Gillian Chung and EdisonChen appeared in the adult photo section of a Hong Kong forum.

More pictures appeared, one allegedly showing retired singer-actress Bobo Chan performing a sex act on Edison.

Still more pictures followed, this time supposedly showing actress Cecilia Cheung in various states of undress.

MAY BE REAL

Hong Kong police and photo experts who examined the photos involving the first three female celebrities say the photos are unlikely to have been digitally manipulated.

They have the following reasons:

Firstly, they said the lighting and shadows in the background are hard to piece together digitally.

Secondly, the faces and the necks of the celebrities shown do not appear to be digitally joined.

The police also said that because of the low resolution of the photos, they are not ruling out the possibility of the pictures having been taken with a handphone.

Meanwhile, rumours are rife that the marriage of Cecilia Cheung and Nicholas Tse is on the rocks over the scandal.

However, Patrick Tse, Nicholas's father, has refuted these rumours.

A spokesman for Cecilia said the actress hopes the culprit will be apprehended soon.

She also dismissed rumours of her marriage turning sour and said their relationship was good, and thanked everyone for their concern.

There has also been talk that Gillian had attempted suicide following the scandal.

But her manager has explained to the media that Gillian has been given leave to rest following a bout of fever due to the recent cold weather.

The Hong Kong media has recently listed 14 female celebrities who are allegedly at risk of being 'exposed'.

Among them are Elva Hsiao, Jolin Tsai, Maggie Q, Nikki Chow, Rain Li and Rosanne Wong.

These celebrities have all been linked with Edison at some point.

The on-going scandal, along with that involving a Singaporean whose nude pictures have been circulated ever since he joined the Manhunt contest (See report on page10.), raises the question: Why risk being exposed by having nude, compromising pictures taken in the firstplace?

Celebrities and star-wannabees are not alone, said Dr Lionel Lim, a consultant psychiatrist at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. He said some ordinary people also like to capture themselves on video engaged in sexual acts for various reasons.

Said Dr Lim: 'Some people like to do it because they are curious about what it would be like to be on the other side of the camera.

'There is an element of exhibitionism. They may think they have nice bodies and enjoy looking at themselves, and film themselves for their own private consumption,' he added.

'On the other hand, there are the other group of people who capture themselves in sexual acts as it may increase their arousal,' he said.

DEVIANT

'In such cases, there might be a little bit of a voyeuristic tendency.

'Watching their own videos suggests a voyeuristic tendency while being filmed smacks of exhibitionism,' hesaid.

'Either way, these two tendencies are sexual in nature.

'Whether or not they are considered deviant is dependent on personal values and societal norms,' explained Dr Lim.

On August 22, 2006, Hong Kong magazine Easy Finder published a series of photos of Chung inside a changing room after a Twins concert at the Arena of Stars in Genting Highlands, Malaysia.The pictures were taken while she was in the changing room with her personal assistant. Early life

Chen was born in Vancouver, Canada. He was a student at R.C. Palmer Secondary School in Richmond, British Columbia in Canada and also attended High School in Hong Kong International School.He was in the same class as Nicholas Tse in 10th Grade, however he didn't finish his high school year; flunking out after the completion of grade 11. Edison spent much of his life living in Vancouver and New York City, which contributes to his fluency in the English language.

SOCCER star Ashley Cole - caught in Scandal!!

SOCCER star Ashley Cole has instructed lawyers to sue two newspapers ? claiming he has been wrongly linked to gay sex allegations.

The Arsenal ace is claiming damages for libel.

The writs relate to rumours that he was one of two Premiership stars who allegedly used a mobile phone as a sex toy.

The papers did not name the footballers, but Cole’s proceedings state that his name was wrongly linked to the scandal on internet sites and chatrooms.

England defender Cole, 25 ? engaged to Girl’s Aloud babe Cheryl Tweedy, 22 ? is furious that fans have mistakenly thought he was involved in a gay sex orgy.

He instructed lawyers to sue the News of the World ? who originally reported that two Premiership stars had been caught romping on camera with a music industry pal.

The three men, who were not named for legal reasons, were said to have enjoyed a homosexual orgy.

Under the headline Gay As You Go the story on February 12 began: “The News of the World today reveals how two bisexual Premiership stars made some very dirty phone calls ? using a mobile phone as a sex toy. The players were caught on camera cavorting with a pal well known in the music industry in a homosexual orgy.”

The newspaper followed up the story a week later with a photograph that allegedly showed the two men involved in the orgy. Both men’s faces were obscured and their skin colour was allegedly changed.

Cole’s lawyers have filed writs against the News of the World and The Sun. He is suing for libel, harassment and breach of privacy.

Batu Pahat hotel - centre of attraction after video sex scandal

THE hotel in Batu Pahat, Johor, where Malaysian Health Minister Chua Soi Lek and a woman friend were secretly filmed having sex has become the centre of attention.

According to Malaysian media reports, the plush hotel, which has not been named, is popular among VIPs who come to Batu Pahat.

It is believed to be the four-star, 15-storey Katerina Hotel, which has 188 rooms, including six premier suites for VIPs only.

A pack of reporters turned up at the hotel on Wednesday and found it empty and quiet.

Apart from three or four front-desk employees and several diners at the hotel's restaurant, the lobby with two-storey high, marble pillars and beautiful staircases, was empty, reported The Star newspaper on Thursday.

A Chinese daily reporter said he tried to book the room in which sex video was secretly filmed but was told a guest had taken the room for one week.

The hotel's sales and marketing assistant, when approached by reporters, said he did not want to deny or confirm anything about the video.

Minister chose same hotel, same room for trysts Dr Chua, 61, admitted at a press conference on Wednesday that his 'biggest mistake' was 'to go to the same hotel and the same room' for his trysts with the woman.

'If you go to a hotel, you might think that his is just any other hotel room,' he said. 'But my biggest mistake was to go to the same hotel and the same room, thinking that it would be more convenient.'

Advising others not to repeat his mistake, he said: 'I won't be the first and I won't be the last. It is up to the public to judge me.'

Still frames from the recording, shown on national television in Malaysia on Wednesday, showed a man and woman from a camera above a bed. Copies of the video, which was stored on two compact discs, were dropped off last week at shops and on some streets in Johor.

Prime Minister Abdullah today declined to say whether the recording was politically motivated, although he promised to pursue those who made the tape. 'It was an invasion of privacy,' he told reporters. 'The police will conduct an investigation.'

Dr Chua said on Wednesday he did not make the tape himself, and said the unidentified woman in the film was in her 30s and a personal friend.

Chua Soi Lek - Sex scandal

On January 1, 2008, Chua admitted that he was the person featured in a sex DVD that was circulated in Johor. The girl was allegedly one of his personal friends. The two DVDs were distributed anonymously in Muar and other towns in Johor show Dr Chua having sex with a young woman. The DVDs are believed to be wireless hidden camera recordings in a hotel suite.
He claimed no involvement in the filming or production of the DVD in question, further stating that he would not resign over the scandal, instead leaving it up to Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to decide whether to allow him to continue holding his position.On January 2 , 2008, he formally announced his resignation from all posts including Member of Parliament for Labis, Vice Presidency of the MCA , and as Health Minister at a press conference.

Chua Soi Lek (Simplified Chinese: 蔡细历; born 2 January 1947) also known as Chua Kin Seng, is a former Malaysian politician from the state of Johor. He is married to Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin. They have three children.

He was trained in psychology and practiced psychiatry before entering politics through his involvement with the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA). He held the post of Minister of Health from 2004 until 2008.
