LOS ANGELES – Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson have split — for now.

Ronson was born into a wealthy family in London, the daughter of writer-socialite Ann Dexter-Jones and one-time band manager and real estate entrepreneur Laurence Ronson.Her parents are of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, with ancestors from Russia, Lithuania and Austria, and she was raised in Conservative Judaism.Ronson is related to politicians Malcolm Rifkind and Leon Brittan, and is the younger sister of music producer Mark Ronson and the twin sister of fashion designer Charlotte Ronson.After her parents divorced, her mother married Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones, who contributed to a childhood surrounded by music.At age 16, Ronson was in a rap band called the Low Lifes.

Lohan says that she and the 31-year-old Ronson, who announced they were a couple in September, are "taking a brief break so I can focus on myself."

Lohan, 22, made the comments to E! News Monday after a tumultuous weekend that saw the troubled pop star barred from a Ronson family party. The two have been dogged by rumors of arguments and breakups for months and are often photographed fighting.

Hilary Duff is setting the record straight on her lap dance talents, relationship status, and what she has and has not said about her sex life.
First off, the former tween star tells Maxim Magazine that she never claimed to be a virgin, as was written in 2006.
"You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that," she says in the Janury 2009 issue. "That's nobody's business but my own."
But the alleged misquote is hardly the worst the 21-year-old has had written about her.
"I've been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs," she says. "I mean, little ol' me? It's shocking... And they're so descriptive about these lap dances. I don't even know how to do a lap dance!"
While she may not be well-versed in lap dancing, the singer is no stranger to getting sexy onscreen, as evidenced by her sexy new music video for the single Reach Out.
"I was ready to do something different. The intent was not to be overtly sexual; I'm not naked. I do have little shorts on in it."

She says she is no longer a tween star -- much to the chagrin of parents.
"Mothers come up to me and say, 'Don't ever change; you're such a good girl,'" she says. "I am a good girl. But how can I say I won't ever change? That's impossible."
At the end of the day, Duff -- who is dating hockey star Mike Comrie -- says, "I'm a relationship person.
"Now it's all over the Internet that I'm getting engaged to my boyfriend," she says. "The truth is, I just like to wear rings!"

To support his girl, Boyfriend John Mayer had arrived 10 minutes before Jennifer Aniston and Wilson. Aniston insists that she's happier than she's ever been with beau John Mayer. "We care deeply for each other, and we're just trying to figure it out," she said but thrashed the marriage and child rumors. "I am not having his baby. And I have not popped the question."

"Yes. For Bernardo Bertolucci. It ... depends," said the actress, referring to the Italian director.

But she quickly rationalized, "I'm not getting my kit off any time soon, but it is part of my job."

Upon even more reflection in the interview the young star revealed she is aware of the issues her tender age presents.

"I'm at a strange age. I'm not a woman yet, but I'm not a girl any more. "

While she doesn't feel quite like a woman, Watson's certainly dressing the part: The actress stepped out at the Los Angeles premiere of "The Tale of Despereaux" on Sunday looking very much like a grown-up in a semi-sheer dress.

But film companies aren't quite ready to see little Hermoine Granger as a big girl, she says.

"They say, 'Oh, in a couple of years you'll be perfect for this.' I'll be like, 'Yeah, but I want to be studying English then, so it's going to be quite tough to choose between the two,' " she explains.

Radcliffe, on the other hand, shouldn't have any problems being viewed as an adult: The 19-year-old has taken it all off in the play "Equus" over the span of two years on both sides of the pond.
